GRASS FILTER STRIPS

Filter strips are strips of native grass planted adjacent to and parallel to perennial and intermittent streams. An area measured from the top of the streambank and extending a maximum of 120 feet into a cropped eligible field comprises the CP-21 practice. Establishing a filter strip has a significant positive impact on water quality and also provides wildlife habitat.
